Mark Rebila has been setting up remote cameras on drag strips for about 8 years. He has snapped some great images in the process.
This year, while shooting at the California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield, CA, a parachute snapped his rig from the wall at the top end of the track.
The REALLY bad news…. there was a 400mm f/2.8 attached to the camera.
A little good news. The Magic Arm holding the rig survived. Go figure.
