Cigs, Suds & Stigmata

In the Indian state of Meghalaya, the government has confiscated textbooks showing pictures of Jesus Christ holding a cigarette and a can of beer. The Catholic Church has asked the government to take action against the publisher and to ban “objectionable publications” from all schools in future. I guess my only question is why would a text book publisher put beer, cigarettes… or Jesus … In a cursive handwriting text.
I kinda like the image. I’m mean, really, after a long day of feeding the thousands with loaves and fishes, who wouldn’t want a smoke and a brewski?
